Vapa Pitha of Bangladesh
For us, the Bengali, winter is the season for “pitha-Puli ”. We have at slightest hundreds of diverse varieties of pitha. Most of the pithas are either regular or incidental. A few are related to collect celebration (nobanno) in winter whereas a few others are arranged for any extraordinary event like a wedding, eid or puja. A few are crunchy, a few are steamed and a few are so delightfully splashed in sugar syrup, molasses syrup, drain or date palm sap. Most of them are sweet, in spite of the fact that there are a few savory pithas too.
Bhapa pitha is one of the foremost well-known pitha in Bangladesh, made of rice flour, coconut, and jaggery stuffed interior !! Without a doubt the piece of bliss !!
Bhapa pitha could be a sort of rice cake primarily from the eastern portion of the Indian subcontinent, which is nowadays Bangladesh, East India, and Northeast India. Bhapa pitha is considered to be a conventional winter dish in Bangladesh. These are steamed rice cakes made out of naturally ground rice flour. The filling is composed of coconut and date molasses.
